The Lions broke the game open after half-time to run out 33-point winners over Narrandera, 16.12 (108) to 11.9 (75) at Ganmain Sportsground.
There was only a goal in it at half-time, but the Lions booted four goals to two in the third and fourth terms to get right on top.
Jack McCaig enjoyed a day out, booting five goals, while young guns Tom Anderson and Dan Foley also stood tall.
For Narrandera, it was another competitive showing, without getting the four points.
GGGM captain-coach Luke Sicker was pleased to see the Lions’ game plan come to fruition.
“It was a very pleasing win,” Sicker said,
“We’ve been trying to play a brand of footy, a different style, with our ball movement and ball use, that will eventually, when we get better at it, stack up against the good teams.
“That’s the way we want to play and it came to the fore today.”
Hamish Jennings was another standout for the Lions in the win.
Reece Hutton and Jarred Lane were again good for Narrandera, while Cooper Irons also impressed.
