Mac Daly was moved from the halves for Saturday’s clash against Tumbarumba at Greenfield Park and lasted 15 minutes before dislocating his wrist.
“I just ran back from fullback and braced for a tackle and took an awkward hit,” Daly, 23, said.
“It’s disappointing.
“It was the first time I’ve played there and I’d say I’m finished for the year.”
Daly is the second Thunder fullback to be ruled out for the season after Shannon Rupapere fractured his scapula last month.
Rupapere’s class has been sorely missed with Josh Cale’s line-up breaking a four-match losing streak by defeating the Greens at the weekend.
Lachie Hampton has also played fullback and is presently on the injured list.
Thunder host Temora on Sunday with Cale preparing for another tight contest.
“There aren’t any easy games,” Cale said.
Thunder won 36-24 at Nixon Park earlier this season.
