Blake Jones spent a lot of time on the road last week, putting in just over 4200 kilometres to attend six meetings across two states.

Jones started his big week at Parkes on Sunday before a trip to Bendigo on Tuesday.
He returned to Coleambally before taking horses to Maryborough on Thursday then Ballarat on Friday while staying in Shepparton with Stephen O’Donoghue.
The 27-year-old was then at Albury on Saturday night, where he drove four winners, before capping off the big week at Breeders Challenge day at Menangle on Sunday.
After the big night at Albury, the Colembally driver has a full book of nine drives at Wagga’s meeting on Tuesday.
He rated Jay Dee Zed one of his best chances after drawing barrier one.
“I thought he would go pretty close from the draw and his run last start was pretty good,” Jones said.
Three of his winners on Saturday were for Shane and Hillier and the pair should be close with Waltalight, Notyetused and Keep Quiet all well fancied in their respective races.
Jones expects Waltalight is a chance if he can lead from barrier three.
“Whenever I’ve drove him Shane has always said he’s a better horse in front, but we haven’t got their yet, and if he gets there we are chance,” he said.
“I think Peking Duck is a little each way chance.
“He is going to need a little bit of luck, but is back in grade and I’d just forget his last run as he just pulled his head off.”
There won’t be too much rest this week either with Jones heading to Melton on Friday to drive Therockwontroll and Man Hands after they qualified for Vicbred Super Series semi-finals at Ballarat and Bendigo respectively.
