Behind every great business there are great staff and Cave BBQ is not exception. 

Owner Jason Crowley has employed a strong and talented team to support and grow his new restautent. 

“I have two awesome full time staff in Brad Oakman and Karly Liffen who’ve taken control of the service and the kitchen side,” he said. 

“This gives me time to breathe every now and then, but also to direct the business in the way we want to head, including the liquor licence, menu changes, and expanding our hours.”

Jason wants to extend trading hours at Cave BBQ to cover lunches seven days a week and is also looking into running breakfasts.

When you walk into Cave BBQ you can expect a moody and intimate feel matched with great food. 

“I’ve been testing different cooking techniques for the last 20 years (some good, lots of failures) and doing things a little differently with our sauces,” Jason said. 

“We’re not just American barbecue inspired but global barbecue inspired, from Korean, to Argentinian, Japanese and of course Australian but we do things differently, and hope to hit that nice balance of salts, sweets, acids and spices to help round out that sweet rendered fat that makes our brisket so soft and full of moist flavour.”
