An elderly woman has died in Canberra hospital after her car collided with a truck near Tumut last week.

The 93-year-old had attempted to enter the Snowy Mountains Highways from Batlow Road on Wednesday morning when her Toyota Echo was struck.
Cootamundra police said the woman’s hatchback hit the guard rail as a result.
Emergency services rushed to free the woman from the wreckage and she was flown to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition, fighting for life.
The 93-year-old died as a result of her injuries on Monday, June 19.
Police said the 56-year-old Pantech truck driver was reportedly uninjured.
