Harris will take a team of five to Wagga, the most pacers he has had in at any one meeting in a number of years.
Barrier draws have given Harris a taste of the two extremities. Two of his team have drawn gate one, while another two have come up with the outside of the second row, over the sprint distance.
“I’ll be disappointed if they all don’t go well,” Harris said.
“The Ides Of March and Gold Starzzz are probably the best two horses of the lot, but they are the two that have drawn bad. It makes it hard over the short.
“They all should be competitive but they will all need a bit of luck. If they have luck, they won’t be far away.”
The Idles Of March will head to the semi-finals of the Breeders Challenge at Menangle on Saturday week after Friday night’s run.
He was an all-the-way heat winner at Young last start.
“He’s a horse that takes a bit of work so he’ll have the run and without any incidents he will go to Menangle on Saturday week for the semis,” Harris said.
Three-year-old filly Rocknroll Tonight and two-year-old filly Sevendaysaweek will both make their debut later in the night.
"I don’t mind the two-year-old,” Harris said.
“She’s a bit green but I don’t mind her.
“The other mare is pretty seasoned for a first starter. I don’t know how much ability she has but she might improve with racing. She seems to be very laidback.”
