Find a great mentor and believe in yourself.
That’s the advice Jessica Cassone has for anyone wanting to work their way to the top of any business.
Ms Cassone, South Wagga Commonwealth Bank (CBA) manager, took out the award for young business executive at this year’s Crow Awards.
“It was very exciting to win but I was shocked, I didn’t even expect to be named as a finalist,” she said.
“My manager just kept saying that she was so proud and my team were saying they knew I was in for a win.”
She wasn’t even going to put in an application for the awards until two of her team members encouraged her to.
Ms Cassone started at the CBA as a casual and worked her way up to the manager role she holds today.

“I really want to thank the leaders I have had throughout my career who have helped and supported me,” she said.
“The Chamber did a great job, without their hard work and the sponsors the night just wouldn’t be possible.
“Also a thank you to CBA without the training and structured coaching I received I would not be where I am today.”
Her advice to others who want to end up managing a business?
“Find someone who inspires and motivates you and will always challenge you,” Ms Cassone said.
“You have them to bounce ideas off and talk to about career goals.
“You have to believe you can do it and that’s not easy, it’s a learned behaviour and I’m still learning.”
