A senior constable has been slapped with a mid-range drink-driving charge in Cootamundra early on Sunday morning.

Police said they stopped a vehicle on Berthong Road around 12.45am for a random breath test.
The male driver was arrested after returning a positive roadside reading.
The officer, who is attached to a specialist command within the Western Region, was taken to the Cootamundra police station, where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of .083.
His licence was suspended and he is due to appear at the Cootamundra Local Court on Monday, July 3.
The officer was off duty at the time of the incident.
