All players will don blue and white socks as part of the ‘Sock it to MND’ Riverina campaign on Saturday June 17.
Players will purchase the socks for $10 with all proceeds to go to Daniher’s ‘Fight MND’ campaign.
Dorothy Vearing, Neale’s sister, hopes everyone has some fun with the round.
“It’s been fantastic and it’s been so rewarding. Hopefully it will be a fun day for everyone, which is one of Neale’s big focuses, to have fun when you’re raising money,” Vearing said.
She said the support shown to Neale and the family has been special.
“Well and truly. It has been a very personal journey but the support’s been great,” Vearing said.
AFL Riverina chairman Michael Irons said it was a great cause to support.
“It’s obviously a cause that has some local influence, there’s obviously cases around here at Griffith, Lake Cargelligo and Barellan so we’re very happy to support this,” Irons said.
“(The Daniher family) continue to have an involvement and an influence in Riverina football and netball so we’re very proud and honoured to support it.”
Vearing thanked Sportsmans Warehouse for their support of the campaign.
