Matthew Joseph Crawford, 25, of Springvale, was fined $1000, disqualified from driving for 10 months and placed on an 18-month good behaviour bond after pleading guilty in Wagga Local Court to driving with a mid-range blood-alcohol reading of .123 on March 4.
Crawford told police after his arrest he had consumed three stubbies of beer between 5.30pm and 7pm, but magistrate Erin Kennedy was not convinced.
“I don’t accept that; you drank much more than that,” Ms Kennedy said. She told Crawford he had been given “wake up call after wake up call” about drink-driving.
The licence disqualification was backdated to the March 4 police suspension.
