Braddon lined up three chances in the $10,000-to-the-winner feature and it was Ferrero Miss who caused an upset.
Kennelmate Falcon’s Fury ($1.60 fav) missed the start and it was never a chance.
However Ferrero Miss ($24.20) was on her best behaviour flying out the boxes, avoiding all the trouble back in the pack and went on to take a dominant victory.
Skipping away after Nangar Range ($5.30) and Mitra ($7.50) fell approaching the first turn, Ferrero Miss never looked in danger as she went on to defeat Slick Simzy ($11.90) by 8¾ lengths in a fast time of 30.38 seconds.
Ferrero Miss was second in her heat behind Slick Simzy on Sunday, but after drawing box three Braddon was quietly confident.
“I thought she was a big chance from the inside, she likes the inside, but if (Falcon’s Fury) comes out she wasn’t going to beat him,” Braddon said.
“Obviously he didn’t and she has gone enormous.”
Coming into the race series in the shadows for Falcon’s Fury, after finishing third to him in the Dubbo Gold Cup, Ferrero Miss left a mark of her own at Wagga.
“She has been going well and just had to do it on the day,” Braddon said.
“She ran third to him in the Dubbo Cup so it was about time she turned the tables.”
Braddon also finished third with Little Cindy while Wagga greyhound Heza Saint was fourth.
