4: Watson wins it for Wigan - 2013

In one of the biggest David v Goliath mismatches in FA Cup final history, already relegated Wigan Athletic were massive outsiders against Manchester City, who were looking to cap a disappointing season with a trophy. The game itself was a relatively scrappy affair before Ben Watson's head met a superb corner from Shaun Maloney, beating Joe Hart in the first minute of injury time.

It was probably the finest moment in Wigan's history. Manager Roberto Martinez left after this game, joining Everton, and the Latics have yo-yo'd between the second and third tiers of English football ever since.

3: Arsenal come all the way back - 2014

Hull City were well on their way to shocking Arsenal in the 2014 decider, grabbing two quick goals to take a commanding lead inside the first ten minutes of play. Instead of wilting, the Gunners clawed one back shortly after through Santi Cazorla, before centre-back Lorent Koscielny (who will miss this weekend's final through suspension) equalised, forcing extra time.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey turned out to be the hero in the first half of the additional 30 minutes, deftly latching on to an Olivier Giroud backheel to poke a finish past Allan McGregor.

The trophy was Arsenal's first in nine years, and they went back-to-back the following season.

2: Saha strikes early - 2009

The only goal on this list not to come from the winning side, Everton headed into the final on the back of an impressive league campaign, where they finished fifth. Guus Hiddink's Chelsea had finished third and went into the final as favourites. .. but they quickly fell behind, as French striker Louis Saha scored the fastest goal in FA Cup final history, smashing home a left-footed finish after a knock-down from Marouane Fellaini.

It wasn't enough for the Toffees - goals from Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba would turn the tide as the Blues won 2-1.

1: Stevie G scores a screamer - 2006

In terms of modern day FA Cup final moments, there can be very few arguments in regards to Steven Gerrard's equaliser in 2006 occupying the top spot.

Just a year after they pulled off the greatest Champions League final comeback of all time, the Reds took on West Ham in what would be the last final at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium, which hosted the even for half a decade while Wembley was being rebuilt.

Liverpool fell behind 2-0 within the first half an hour, before levelling the scores through Djibril Cisse and then Gerrard. Hammers' fullback Paul Konchesky would give them the lead again, before the skipper unleashed an absolute missile.

The match went to penalties, with the teams trading misses before Gerrard and John Arne Riise held their nerve as Konchesky and Anton Ferdinand missed, allowing Liverpool to claim a seventh FA Cup.
