The Crows, considered one of the favourites for this year’s premiership, have topped up their list with the addition of Canberra-based footballers Liam Greenwell and Sean Wilkinson.

The duo are former teammates of Leeton-Whitton midfielder Toby Conroy at Queanbeyan and have been in discussions with the Crows since November.

Leeton-Whitton coach Jade Hodge was stoked to add two more experienced footballer to his playing list.

“It’s huge for us, especially with them both being utilities,” Hodge said.

“They can both roll through the midfield as well, so it will be massive for our rotations.

“We’ve probably relied on our young blokes too much this year so it will give them a break. Having that little bit more experience we will be able to spread that load a bit more too because the last couple of years we’ve relied on too few.”

Greenwell, 26, and Wilkinson, 26, both have played at North Eastern Australian Football League (NEAFL) level but had last season off.

Both hail from Tuggeranong, but spent time at Queanbeyan alongside Conroy and Neil Irwin. 

Wilkinson, plays as a small forward, and got best-on-ground for AFL Canberra in a 2014 interleague game against AFL Sydney, while Greenwell is a versatile defender.

Both have been cleared to play against Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong on Saturday.
