Cootamundra was nudged out of the top four by Tolland last week after a strong start to the season, then two draws and two narrow losses.
Cootamundra co-coach Adam McPhail said their luck may not change this weekend.
“Everyone knows it’s going to be a big test,” he said.
“We’ve had injuries, suspensions, that what happens mid-season.
“Brent Farnsworth’s back, so is Aaron Kemp but we’re still not at full strength.”
Farnsworth didn’t play against Tolland due to injury, and his inclusion could be the difference between a win and a loss.
At centre back, Farnsworth’s known for winning the game in the air.
Kemp, Cootamundra’s top-scorer, could also influence the result.
Lake Albert captain Fred Gardner looks forward to the challenge.
“Every team we’ve played so far has come out and put on the pressure,” he said.
“The game we had last year in the grand final was really tough, it’s going to be a big game.”
Lake Albert will miss Jamie Rankin, Cameron Mavor (away), and Ben Mavor (injured).
Last week was the first in a year Lake Albert have been held scoreless.
“Credit to Henwood Park’s goalkeeper,” he said.
"Other than that we were all over them.
“It’s good to have a great goalkeeper in this competition, it makes me work hard in training.”
