The arrest follows an investigation into the welfare of three children aged seven-years and under, which began in March.
As officers inquiries continued, serious concerns were raised about the health and well-being of the three children, living at the home.
An ambulance was later called to rush the youngest to hospital.
The four-month old was treated for “serious emaciation” and police alleged the baby was seriously malnourished and suffering from neglect.
A 22-year-old woman was previously charged in relation to this matter and on Thursday, the 20-year-old man was charged with failing to provide for child, causing danger of death.
Anyone with concerns about suspected child abuse or exploitation should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Child Protection Helpline on 132 111.
