EARLIER: Police are concerned for the welfare of a young Wagga woman who has not been seen since May 20.
Jacinta MacColl, 19, was last seen boarding a Melbourne-bound Country-Link Train in Wagga at 1.30pm on Saturday.
Ms MacColl, diagnosed with an intellectual disability, was supposed to meet her relatives at a Melbourne address.
She has not accessed her bank accounts, Facebook and has been unreachable on her mobile phone since that time.
Acting crime manager Phil Malligan said it was particularly concerning, given the 19-year-old’s “vulnerability”.
He said Wagga police have been liaising with Victoria Police to help locate Ms MacColl.
Ms MacColl is described as being Caucasian in appearance, thin build, black hair, brown eyes and approximately 170cm tall.
She was last seen wearing black tights, a black top and black cardigan, with a pair of high heeled shoes.
She was carrying a black coloured handbag.
Anybody with information regarding her whereabouts should contact Wagga police on 69222 599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
