Killara Kaos is unbeaten after three starts and will be out to make it four when he contests the $15,000 Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge 3YO Colts & Geldings Heat (1720m).
Killara Kaos has drawn the inside of the second row and that is the biggest concern for trainer Damien McKelvie.
“The draw is the major worry, getting out, it’s the one draw we didn’t really want,” McKelvie said.
“He’s a bit like Killara Ninja in that he’s got a fair bit of strength but should also be able to follow speed good. I’m not worried about him being locked up, it’s just a matter of getting out.”
McKelvie was initially surprised by Killara Kaos’ win on debut but he has now put three wins together by a combined margin of 23 metres.
McKelvie believes the Always A Virgin gelding can make it four from four with some luck.
“If he gets out in time, and gets every chance, I’m fairly confident," he said.
“He keeps on getting better. I’ve changed my mind a lot on him in the last few weeks.
“It is his biggest test but I’ll be disappointed if he’s not right up there if he does get a crack at them.”
McKelvie rates Corbie Jolt, one of two David Kennedy-trained pacers in the race, as his biggest danger as they look to book a Breeders Crown semi-final spot.
