Up next morning after a fair night with one blanket, and set off again at 8.45 to march to Cormont a distance of 12 miles. Fortunately they carried our packs in the cars as their feeding arrangements were bad, and we had not had a decent feed since we left, due to our own officers who are inexperienced. The infantry had a much better spin. We reached our destination about 1 p.m. after a fair march, but were disappointed in the village, a real dead hole and miles from anywhere. Managed to get a room in the village so will be comfortable during my stay which will probably be short, as I expect my leave before Xmas, being now eight on the list.
