Gezina Kolder uses a video magnifier to help create her masterpieces and said it was a “great surprise” that her painting was one of 12 selected nationwide.
When Mrs Kolder was a child she was warned to steer away from a career as an artist, opting for a steady job as a nurse.
Rediscovering her love for art after the loss of her husband, the war veteran said painting gave her “something to do”.
