Clear skies have helped to buoy crowd numbers this season; with rain affecting just one round from seven.
“Crowds are on the up, the Pascoe Cup is just exploding,” Henwood Park president Ryan Smith said.
“It’s been unreal, there’s a good atmosphere.”
Smith watched the top of the table clash between his club and Lake Albert on Sunday, and said it was one of the best games he’s ever seen.
It drew local soccer die hards out of the woodwork.
“There were people there that I haven’t seen in years,” Smith said.
He said the unpredictability of results has kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Spectator numbers tend to drop off through the cooler months, but the dedicated fans will no doubt show each week, with camp chairs and warm blankets.
