The longest serving teacher currently at the school, Mrs Saddler is now educating the children of some of her previous students, including a teachers aid she works alongside.
“I got a card for my birthday from her family which said I’d trained a teacher, a midwife, an aircraft mechanic and a carpenter,” Mrs Saddler said.
“Teaching can be so rewarding, the school has a real sense of family.”
Mrs Saddler said the highlight of her career was watching her students grow and flourish.
“As a kindergarten teacher, you get to watch your students learn to read and write, setting the foundations for the rest of their lives,” Mrs Saddler said.
