Members of the Wagga Murrumbidgee Magic Chorus returned from Perth with another trophy to add to its collection.
The group attended the Sweet Adelines National Convention at the weekend.
Its director, Judy Ferguson, won the novice director award for the highest scoring group whose director was directing them for the first time at the contest.
Ms Ferguson has been singing in the group for 25 years but only started directing the group in January this year.
The 21 members who made the trip received a third place medal in the small chorus category.
Last year, in Wollongong, the group won the small chorus section in the 2016 convention.
The group sings a cappella music without any piano or backing tracks. Its four-part harmony has been entertaining local audiences for 25 years, with a diverse repertoire ranging from pop to barbershop.
“We love continually improving our knowledge and skill level,” Ms Ferguson said.
Ms Ferguson took over the role as director after the retirement of previous director, Jill Harris.
She also directs the Wagga City Rugby male choir.
