Mrs Roworth will start chemotherapy on May 30 after doctors recently revealed she was battling adenocarcinoma, the most aggressive type of appendix cancer, a month after her original diagnosis.
Back in Wagga, after undergoing life-saving surgery in Sydney in April, Mrs Roworth will now face six months of chemo.
Originally diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei after suffering from severe abdominal pain, the community have rallied behind the cause with an online fundraising campaign raising more than $30,000.
Sister-in-law Rebekah Zadow said there was a long road ahead.
“It’s going to be rough for Chell but she’s determined,” Ms Zadow said.
Now, a number of Wagga businesses are banding together for a fundraising raffle, with all proceeds to go toward the families MyCause page.
Tickets for the June 16 draw can be purchased for $2 at Southern Plumbing Plus and Riverina Cardiology.
