When Kate Granger from The Family Chiropractor put in her nomination for the Golden Crow Awards she didn’t expect to be named a finalist.
The local chiropractor was surprised to see her name on the list for the Young Entrepreneur category.
“I was stoked, I really didn’t expect it,” she said.
Ms Granger has owned The Family Chiropractor for the past five years and has been practicing as a chiropractor since 2007.
Her passion for the field started at a young age after an experience as a patient getting help with headaches.
“A lot of people aren’t aware of what a chiropractor can do,” Ms Granger said.
“We have a broad range of treatment options and techniques.”

“There has been a push towards gentle techniques,” Ms Granger said.
“We can prevent things from occurring rather than waiting for an injury to happen.
“We can provide ergonomic advice and do a lot of work with posture for kids who use devices.”
Ms Granger trained in Sydney at Macquarie University before returning to Wagga to work.
After growing up in Wagga it was always her dream to return to the city and run her own practice in her hometown. After running the business for five years Ms Granger was thrilled to employ a third chiropractor at The Family Chiropractor.
