TWO AFL Riverina footballers have been selected in the Allies team to take part in division one of the national championships.
Wagga Tigers’ Brendan Myers and Griffith’s Nathan Richards were among 21 NSW-ACT footballers in the 46-man Allies squad.
The Allies is a team made up of players from NSW-ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory and Tasmania that will play in division one of the under 18 national championships, starting in June.
Myers and Richards both impressed in the recent under 18 academy series, where the Giants finished third with three wins.
The Allies will go into camp in Melbourne on May 26 before a final team is named to play Vic Country at Blacktown on June 11.
