Inspection by General Birdwood, and march past. We had to march to “Blaringham” in tin hats and full packs, passing General Birdwood and his staff in the square and home again, about 8 or 9 miles altogether. Nothing doing remainder of day. Taubes over at night bomb dropping, but ignored our village.
