The service will be held at 5pm in the former Prime Television studios on Lake Albert Road, said Pastor Ben Staines.
Weeks of renovations have transformed the old television station into vibrant place for not just church services, but also for use by community groups.
“It is not just a church, we really want to make it a community asset,” Pastor Ben said on Friday.
Pastor Staines described Generocity as a contemporary-style church, with weekly services including modern faith-based songs with a relevant message.
“Everyone is welcome to come along and find out more,” he said.
“It’s very applicable to families,” said Pastor Ben’s wife, Libby.
The couple said current church members in Wagga ranged in age from six months to 90 years.
Pastor Ben said the church was appreciative of the support given to the redevelopment by Wagga City Council.
“They have been very good,” he said.
The church’s second service on May 14 will celebrate mums for Mothers Day.
