But Yellow Wiggle, Emma Watkins, took to Facebook on Sunday night to express how much the regional tour meant to her because of her family connections in the region.
Her mum’s family is from Albury and her dad’s family is from Tumut.
She was delighted the regional tour afforded her the opportunity to catch up with family friends in Albury and that her 90-year-old grandfather was able to travel to a show at the Civic Theatre on Sunday.
“These parts of the tour are really special for me,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
This is not the first time the region has had connections to the Yellow Wiggle.
Former Yellow Wiggle Sam Moran was raised in Wagga and his family still lives in the city.
Emma, who is an experienced singer, dancer, drummer and can sign in Auslan, became the first female Wiggle in 2012.
