Local models wowed unsuspecting shoppers as they showed off a range of headwear produced by members of the Riverina Millinery Association – along with the season’s racewear – in the lead up to the Gold Cup.
The fashion parade took place alongside the local millinery association’s ‘Avenue of Hats’, a stunning display of locally produced headwear.
Association president Joanne Rolfe said she was thrilled to show off the hats prior to Wagga’s biggest race day of the year.
“This is the time when ladies are choosing their outfits and getting their headwear organised,” she said
“So it really does put all the local milliners under a lot of pressure to perform, but so far so good.”
The display runs until Thursday.
