Last year’s wooden spooners have won all three games to start the year, already more than they won last season, and sit on top of the ladder but face a whole new challenge against Albury at Twickenham on Saturday.
Neither team has tasted defeat so far, and Teka believes the clash at Twickenham will give a better indication of where the team is really at.
“This is definitely the biggest test for the year," Teka said.
“Obviously Wagga was a step up last weekend and Albury is another step up.
“I think they are a very solid side.”
Teka is trying to keep a lid on things considering all three teams they’ve beaten are well outside the top five.
Tumut narrowly defeated Tumbarumba to start the season before holding Temora scoreless at home.
They’re coming off a 50-6 win against Brothes and Albury has a very similiar form line.
The Thunder proved far too strong for Brothers when they played each other before the bye, and also defeated the Dragons to open the season.
With that in mind the Blues are working on not get to hard ahead of themselves.
“We spoke about that at training that while we put a big score on them by no means was the score reflective of our game,” Teka said.
“There was a lot of things we did wrong in that game last week and without being disrespectful to Brothers I think it was a better side I think it would have been a different result.
“We are well aware of that and hopefully we’ve done enough work to fix it up this week.”
Teka still want the Blues’ completion rate to improve.
He believes the same trend will see his team come unstuck.
“We get a bit excited at times,” Teka said.
“Last week we threw the ball around and were getting good results, but when he did cause a few errors we didn’t back it up with a completed set.
“We compiled that with another error or another penalty.
“We invited Brothers into the game and we were fortunate to have enough talent when the question was asked of us.”
Teka will make one change to the team with Jacob McGrath to come back into the side.
McGrath missed the win over Brothers, but Teka has been impressed with his form to start the season.
He’ll go into lock with Dan Kilian moving into the front row.
It means Gordon Karaitiana will start off the bench.
