These tasty events have been running for decades but organisers want residents to think outside the box this year.
Cancer Council Western NSW communications and events co-ordinator, Brianna Carracher, is hoping to target new audiences to add flavour back into the event.
Cancer Council is hosting a high tea at the International Hotel for the first time to show people that the event can be more than just tea and scones at the office.
“Where the foodie culture is going, people are happy to enjoy some fine dining,” Miss Carracher said.
“It’s a good excuse to get dressed up with the girls.”
The event is on May 6 from 2.30pm at the International Hotel.
