Queanbeyan, equipped with 11 players, defeated seven Wagga players 92-82.
“Queanbeyan played the house down,” Wagga coach Colin Reed said.
“In the first few games, they only scored three three-pointers, they must have scored 15 against us.”
Reed said Wagga’s defence was stretched to its limits as Queanbeyan landed 80 per cent of three-point shots.
Wagga trailed from the start, and did not catch Queanbeyan.
“We got behind and every time we got within four points they’d stretch it out again,” Reed said.
