“We’ve got a long way to go, we’ve got Coly at Coly next week and we certainly won’t be getting carried away,” Lenon said.
“Obviously we’ve had a big pre-season, we’ve got a group of blokes who are super fit, and you go into each game confident but it’s week by week.
“But it’s only a game of footy and there’s a fair few to go yet.”
The Bombers are the talk of the league after the win but the honour of retaining the trophy for 12 months is more significant.
“It’s great. A lot of people put a lot of hard work into making this night happen,” Lenon said.
“It’s an honour to play here on such a special occasion and we get an opportunity to pay our respects. We’re one of the few clubs that are a part of that so it’s fantastic.”
