Ms Harper and her young family were one of more than 100 visitors who headed to the Erin Earth open day on Saturday, exploring sustainable living at the iconic garden.
“Our whole family believes in treading lightly so it is nice to head to an event which reflects that,” Ms Harper said.
“I’ve loved looking at all the native trees Wagga has to offer.
“It is nice and peaceful to just walk around and enjoy the gardens.”
The gardens were just one of many features on offer at the event, with gardening seminars, succulent crafting and an entertaining ukulele workshop.
The Kildare Street garden is open from from Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 4pm.
