International Jazz Day started in 2011 and Wagga will join the celebration again this year as a united show of support for the genre.
With the Wagga Jazz Festival now defunct, organisers say it is also a good way of keeping the music alive in the city.
The Nathan Room at the Commercial Club will play host to a range of performers including The Groove Factory, Wagga All Stars Jazz Band, Meredith and The Conmen, Peter Brown and Friends, Jazz Daiquiri and the Australian Army Band Kapooka.
The schools program commences from 3pm with the above entertainment listed above from 5pm on April 29.
Tickets are available from the venue.
