Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland lands winning double at Corowa

WAGGA trainer Trevor Sutherland extended his lead in the Southern District premiership with a winning double at Corowa on Tuesday.

IN FORM: Experienced Wagga jockey Bryan Murphy combined with trainer Trevor Sutherland for success at Corowa on Tuesday.

Sutherland had just three runners at Corowa and came away with two winners.

Hangin’ With Willy ($9.00) took out the Benchmark 55 Handicap (1400m) before Sir Ottavio ($5.00) claimed the Benchmark 55 Handicap (2100m).

Bryan Murphy guided Hanging With Willy to victory and it was the second leg of a winning double for the experienced Wagga jockey.

Murphy also won the opening race on the Gordon Strang-trained Stormus ($16.00).

Canberra apprentice Pat Scorse steered Sir Ottavio to victory.
