Sutherland had just three runners at Corowa and came away with two winners.
Hangin’ With Willy ($9.00) took out the Benchmark 55 Handicap (1400m) before Sir Ottavio ($5.00) claimed the Benchmark 55 Handicap (2100m).
Bryan Murphy guided Hanging With Willy to victory and it was the second leg of a winning double for the experienced Wagga jockey.
Murphy also won the opening race on the Gordon Strang-trained Stormus ($16.00).
Canberra apprentice Pat Scorse steered Sir Ottavio to victory.
