Two men narrowly avoided serious injury and death near Tumblong and Tarcutta on Saturday and Sunday, prompting a fresh call for road users to concentrate.
One man is lucky to be alive after his vehicle rolled near the Old Hume Highway on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 11pm but found the driver had managed to escape the wreckage.
He was treated for minor injuries but did not require a trip to hospital.
Police again reminded drivers to stay alert on Sunday after a man veered off the Hume Highway, south of Gundagai, reportedly looking down to see where his phone was.
In a panic, the driver then over-steered, lost control and slammed into the guard rail near Tumblong.
