The team capped off a successful week against some of the best teams in the state with a seven-wicket win over a South Coast team in the final on Wednesday.
Winning all five games to progress to the final, coach Terry Willis was impressed the comprehensive display.
“They boys went through undefeated, there was a couple of rain-affected games,” Willis said. “They played exceptionally well.”
Bowling first, Wagga were able to skittle their rivals for 96.
They were helped by a hat-trick from Sam Stening late in the innings.
Captain Sam McCready then shone with the bat.
Due to competition rules, McCready retired when he reached his half century before Wagga went on to claim the total three wickets down.
While McCready and Stening starred in the decider, Willis said each team member played a starring role at some stage of the carnival.
“The 11 boys who went all had outstanding performances at some stage during the week,” he said.
“Cricket is often relying on three or four blokes but everyone of them either had a great day with the ball or a great day with bat.”
The Bowral win completes an undefeated season for the representative team after already tasting success in the Geoff Lawson Shield.
