A Fisheries competition across NSW and ACT is reeling in a host of contenders, vying for the title of Australia’s top provider.
With more than 250 votes, the New Oceanic Fish Shop was leading the way as of Friday, April 7.
Winners of the state comp will in August compete for the title of Australia’s best, receiving the commendation at the National Seafood Awards Ceremony in September.
When asked what the secret to success in the seafood world was, co-owner Kosta Papaioanou said people loved what they were used to – quality, fresh, in-store ingredients.
“It’s just the start,” Mr Papaioanou said. “But we’re pretty chuffed.”
