Hunters with illegal weapons and without permits have been fined as part of a four-day rural police operation in Southern NSW.

Rural crime investigators conducted an operation from March 31 to April 3 in Tarcutta, Humula, Rosewood and Tumbarumba.
Albury Detective Inspector Winston Woodward said the aim was to address growing concerns over illegal hunting, trespassing and thefts in national parks and state forests as well as private properties.
Police stopped 10 vehicles, either in the act of hunting or on route to their hunting destinations.
They issues 12 infringements to four people caught hunting without permits, possessing illegal knives and in possession of an electric dog collars.
One man was also charged for driving related offences.
