Jo Palmer’s new startup, Go Remote, which went live on March 23, aims to connect skilled workers living in remote areas with jobs in the city.
The idea materialised when Mrs Palmer realised she had a large number friends who had left professional roles in the city when they moved to the country.

“They have all of this experience, knowledge and talent that is not being taken advantage of by potential employers,” she said.
“With improvements in connectivity and many now connected to the NBN, working remotely is really an option for people in regional Australia.”
Mrs Palmer believes an increasing number of employers are already looking to mobilise their workforce.
Meanwhile, the number of people working from home has increased from 20 per cent to 30 per cent over the past 15 years, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
