The water reached 20.66m, which is just shy of the 1947 record and half-a-metre below the 1974 record.
River levels at 7.50am were at 20.3m and falling.
The Bureau suggest the river level at Maclean Bridge will fall below the major flood level by Saturday night.
At Waterford the Logan River is currently at 9.40 metres and rising. The peak is expected to hit 10.50 metres late Saturday morning.
Logan City Council is urging residents to exercise care on the city’s roads as floodwaters continue to progress downstream. These waters will be elevated for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Police are reminding residents that if it flooded to forget it.
Evacuation centres are still open at Beenleigh PCYC, 20-38 Alamein Street, Beenleigh and Logan Metro Sports Centre, 357 Browns Plains Rd, Crestmead.
Residents without power in Flagstone can head to the Flagstone State Community College sport hall to charge phones, make calls, have a cuppa and a chat from 9am to 12noon.
Social media is ablaze in Flagstone with offers of boating assistance and neighbours finding ways to help each other.
More than 3800 people across the City of Logan are still without power.
Residents who are cleaning up after flood water are advised by Logan City Council to be aware of debris, to wear shoes and be aware of potential contaminants in any residual flood water.
Logan City Council has advised that drinking water remains safe and is expected to remain safe.
Council will continue restoring water supply to residents in Luscombe area today.
Logan Hospital remains open but can only be accessed by the Logan Motorway.
The GoVia Network is wive tolls at the on/off ramp at the Loganlea Road toll point until further notice.
