The Fitzmaurice Street watering hole was ‘passed in’ on Wednesday, meaning bidders failed to meet the seller’s reserve price.
However, sales agent Ian McDonald said there was an offer on the pub, which was sold for $2,295,000 when it was last on the market in September 2007.
Nearby hotel Romano’s sold for $3.3 million in July last year, 175 per cent dearer than the $1.2 million it fetched in December 2008.
