Weir said the mixed emotions stemmed from the uncertainty and unknown potential surrounding his side.
“I’m really not quite sure what we’re capable of producing yet,” he said.
“But I am confident in the boys’ ability.”
Junee hopes to become more of a counter attacking team this season, also spending much of the summer working on a possession-heavy style of play.
The Jaguars will begin the season against physical outfit Tolland at Burns Park on Sunday.
Junee’s first grade women will also face Tolland at home, kicking off at 11am.
