Hospital praises
Please relay our thank you to the wonderful medical staff of Wagga Rural Referral Hospital. Definitely no criticism, rather praise and thanks for a minor up on Saturday evening and wonderful compassion and help for our friend diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Praise too to SWDP.

Unacceptable
It is understood that certain radicals propose burning the Australian flag on Australia Day to make some sort of point.
In many countries it is an offence to burn their national flag as it should be in this country.
If people don’t like the flag and what it stands for, then they should peacefully agitate for a referendum to change it, not break the law by burning it.
In New South Wales, as is the case in most Australian states, unauthorised incineration is an offence due to fire bans in place and the Australian Monarchist League has written to the Minister for Justice and Police, the Hon. Troy Grant MP, to mention that, should any dissident burn the Australian flag in a public place, then we would expect the full force of the law to fall upon them. Australia Day is an occasion for all people to celebrate Australia as a wonderful land with an envious lifestyle that we are all, whether rich or poor, fortunate to enjoy.

Two women wrote letters to this column recently regarding their naive hope that all of us who eat meat and eggs and drink milk must stop doing so, perhaps you should ask the RSPCA if they would like to comment on that.
One woman mentioned treating animals with “superior compassion and mercy”.Our Australian farmers are among the most compassionate and caring towards their animals you will find anywhere in the world, they will not allow anyone to mistreat them.
Your ‘superior compassion and mercy’ would be better directed towards stopping the mutilating of human babies before birth.
Please tell us via this column whether you two have any compassion for human life after conception.
Please tell us you two really do care and love human life from conception until birth and beyond. I sincerely hope you two grieve as much and more so for human destruction as you do for animal (babies - your choice of word). We are waiting

Warning
I wish to warn people advertising on TV for the free trial of Dragons Blood. When I rang, they they told me I needed to pay $99 for the trial lot, which I agreed to and gave to my daughter. Of course, it went on my credit card. Now another lot the same has arrived, been billed to my Visa at a cost of $142, which I never ordered. The bill says if you wish to return products you must ring for a return number or they will not accept the return. The number has been rang three times saying your call will be next, please wait. I held the line for 25 minutes each time and nothing so I rang number for re-ordering. They didn’t answer right away but 15 minutes later rang and asked if I wished to place an order. When I said no, she said I’ll put you through and then the phone went dead. I’m 90 years old and feel they are catching old people out.
