Davidson conducted a track inspection at Albury on Thursday afternoon after 79 millimetres of rain fell on the course this week.
Davidson gave the meeting the green light but issued a dual rating, given the recent drainage works conducted on the track.
The Albury track is rated a heavy nine from the 1700 metres to the 700m, while the remainder of the track, where the drainage works have been completed, is a soft five.
Davidson said it could have been disastrous for Albury had the renovations not been completed.
“If this amount of rain had fallen last year, we would have called the meeting off two days ago,” Davidson said.
