South Wagga missed out on the big one, but didn’t finish the weekend empty handed with both second and third grade teams scoring grand final wins.
The Blues proved too strong for Kooringal Colts in second grade decider.
Mitch McKelvie and captain Damien Cheney led the way with the bat as South Wagga made 198 at McPherson Oval.
It was enough to claim the title.
Terry Willis stood tall in the third grade grand final against Kooringal Colts.
Willis took three wickets to help the Blues bowl the Colts out for 96.
He then top scored with the bat, making an unbeaten 58 in the eight-wicket victory.
John Weule also finished unbeaten on 25.
