Little athletics stars taking on state's best at NSW track and field championships in Sydney

WAGGA’S keenest and best young track and field stars are in Sydney this weekend for the NSW Little Athletics Championships.

Twenty-six athletes from the Wagga club and 17 from Kooringal-Wagga qualified in individual events at state.

Claudia Wheatley, Jaxson Allen, Charlie Harper, Frankleen Newah-Jarfoi and Sophie Crouch are in four individual events. Godfrey Okerenyang qualified in five after winning his triple jump (with a record), long jump, 100m, 200m and 400m at regionals.
