The 23-year-old walked into Henty Police Station at 1.41am to ask for a lift, but was told to get his own transport, such as a taxi.
He then became angry and picked up a plastic water dish, sitting on a metal frame, and threw it at the station window, causing the window to smash.
The man was arrested and taken in the other direction to Albury Police Station, where he was charged with malicious damage.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old Cootamundra man has been charged with filming a person engaged in a private act without consent.
It is believed the man set up a mobile phone camera in the bedroom of a woman.
Lake Illawarra Police report the incident occurred in an Albion Park home on Tuesday, March 7.
