Food and wine lovers will be in heaven at the Civic precinct on March 25.
The Riverina BMW Wagga Food and Wine Festival will showcase 25 food stalls and 15 wineries.
“Expect a fun-filled, relaxed day with quality entertainment along with delicious food, fantastic wineries and Wagga bringing out its best for the Golden Plate Challenge, which will really show off what Wagga has to offer,” one of the organisers Julia O’Keefe said.
The quality of the food is increasing each year with all stall holders from the local region.
“We’re really trying to get that pairing between wine and food, to create a whole experience,” Ms O’Keefe said.
“We have so much amazing local produce and wineries in our region and we just want to show it off.”
Wollundry Rotary is always working hard to improve the event and this year local brand, YENDA, has come on board as beer and cider partner.
“We’re focusing on getting the whole community involved,” Ms O’Keefe said.
“That’s the idea behind the Golden Plate Challenge. It’s not just a show, the community gets to be involved by voting.”

The Golden Plate Challenge, which has been introduced this year, will have four chefs battle it out from 1.30pm to 5pm with the winner announced at 6.30pm.
The chefs are from the Roundabout Restaurant, Thaigga, The Oakroom and Mantra Pavilion Hotel.
There is also a kids area at the festival this year with activities and free face painting.
Keeping the community on board with the event is vital to continue supporting local charities. Wollundry Rotary is expecting around 8000 people to walk through the gates this year.
Now in its 15th year, the event has donated more than $300,000 to local charities since it started.
Each year a different charity is selected and this year the Riverina Cancer Care Centre was selected.
The centre is looking to upgrade the chemo care suite to cater to future demand.
